A work-in-progress study blog
From a work-in-progress story artist
Hi!
I should probably start with a short introduction. I’m Wren, an story artist with a passion for drawing, storytelling, and adventure! As a story artist needs to wear a couple hats at once, we need to be always learning. Whether it be writing, cinematography, or acting - there's always more to learn. Which really is the best part of the job!
✏️ So, why start a study blog?
I wanted a space where I could share things as I’m learning them, and explore ideas and concepts in an open space. I'll write about things I find interesting or cool, as well as post updates on personal boards and stories! Learning can be lonely, and I want to share my journey through storyboarding with you!
⭐ What will you find here?
Insights from books, courses, and mentors! Nowadays there’s no shortage of knowledge out there, but it's all scattered - I'm hoping I can at least attempt to compile it, and create a place that links out to the obscure storyboarding and animation resources the internet holds (cough
Film studies! Scene breakdowns! Story-structure analysis!
Gestures, character designs, and random bits and bobs from things I’m working on. Things that worked, things that didn't, and the things that come next!
🌱 Why should I listen to you?
You shouldn’t! I’m very much still learning, and that’s the point! Sometimes I’ll mess up, or go back on a topic I was certain I was knowledgeable on. I promise to always be honest and open though! If taking a journey through the world of storyboarding sounds fun you should definitely tag along!
So, that’s it from me! I plan on posting at least once monthly (once weekly at most), and I hope you stick around for what comes next! Let’s learn story together! 📘

I'm completely enchanted by your honest and vibrant way of sharing your experiences and knowledge. Your words inspire me. All my life, I've lived in a city surrounded by towering mountains, more than 2,300 meters above sea level. Now, fate has brought me to live on the shores of the Cantabrian Sea. It's such an intense and contrasting experience that I can't keep it all to myself.
Thank you 🌬️🌊🌊🌊☁️⛵🌥️
excited to learn from and alongside you!
